Council look forward to seeing Maitland Street a hive of activity this Friday, 19 March 2021.
Eight buildings will feature lighting displays as part of a CBD pilot activation project, Narra-BRIGHT. The spectacular transformation of Maitland Street is aimed at encouraging economic stimulus within the CBD.
Many local retailers will be offering late-night trading, whilst Jazz Junction and Narrabri High School Music Students providw musical entertainment. There will also be kids’ CREATE activities and roving performances providing entertainment along the street.
Council is encouraging the community to join in on the Narra-BRIGHT activation activities and take the opportunity to enjoy outdoor dining at local businesses.
The CBD Activation Project is part of the NSW government’s Summer Fund initiative which brings The Festival of Place to people right across the state. This year’s CBD activation project is being launched as a pilot where outcomes from the project will be utilised to assist in development of future initiatives across towns and villages of the Narrabri Shire in coming years.
